Some suggestions, please
Two of my brothers are visiting Japan in 3 weeks. I am meeting them in Osaka and we are staying in Kyoto for a couple days before heading back this way. I thought about us going to Mt. Aso in Kumamoto, but after looking at how many hours in transportation it will take us to get there, I don't think we will have time. Does anyone have a suggestion for a place we can go to, maybe for just a day trip or for one night? Please let me know.

Mojis really nice for a day trip, you can get the boat over from kamnon wharf. or Akiyoshido caves are cool. you could climb mt hinoyama in shimonoseki, theres a restaurant near the top. or therse always spaceworld or kokura/fukuoka....
Nagasaki?
Hiking at Chomonkyo is beautiful. So are the caves, like Selena suggested. You could also go to Miyajima and Hiroshima. But Mt. Aso is really nice if you're up for the trip.
Hey Angie! Sorry I haven't left you any comments yet! I have been reading your blog! Hiroshima would be good since you can see it on the way back from Kyoto, but I know you already went there when your parents came. The caves in Akiyoshidai were pretty cool! The castle in Kokura is good in a funny sort of way...
