It's freezing...
literally. It is the coldest morning of the year. I know this not only because of my thermometer, but also because my hot water was frozen. I literally laughed out loud and said, "Oh no no no. I am NOT taking a cold shower when the surrounding air is 33*!" I boiled two pots of water, threw them in a bucket, and proceeded to bathe with that little bit of water. Somehow or other I am not running late. And I am happy that my hair is washed. Things learned: 1.) when it is freezing cold, get up at least 10 minutes earlier; 2.) boil more water; 3.) I am lucky this hasn't happened yet this winter; 4.) hot water has a whole new meaning now and I am much more grateful for it. Have a wonderful day, everyone!

Does your shower not having running hot water?
If so, you need to complain to your BOE. Disgraceful.

My youth group started raising money for the 30 Hour Famine last week. During youth meetings I communicate that we have convinced ourselves we can not survive without our high American standards of living. I told them about your lack of heat. I don’t think they believed me. To make matters worse, an exchange student from South Korea looked at me like I was crazy. Her face said, “That’s not what it is like where I live.” I started to doubt if I had heard you correctly. You know how us ministers are, we tend to exaggerate and tell tall tales to make a point. Even I question the authenticity of many minister’s facts. Your blogg made me feel better. I heard you correctly. You have very little heat. I’ll be sure to read your blogg blogg entry to my students. It sounds like I need to bring my warm sleeping bag. Should I bring one for you? Keep warm kid o. I’m proud of you.
I've heard that keeping your water running in the tiniest stream will keep it from freezing. Couldn't hurt to try it.
